Tutor Terms, Conditions & Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Welcome to Myteacherconnect. These Tutor Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your registration and use of the Myteacherconnect platform as a tutor or instructor ("Tutor"). By registering as a Tutor, accepting teaching assignments, or using the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the platform as a Tutor.

2. Eligibility

To register as a Tutor, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Provide complete, accurate, and truthful information during registration.
• Possess the qualifications, certifications, skills, or experience necessary to teach your selected subjects.
• Successfully complete any verification process required by Myteacherconnect.
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

Myteacherconnect reserves the right to approve, reject, suspend, or terminate any tutor account at its sole discretion.

3. Tutor Responsibilities

Tutors agree to:

• Deliver high-quality, professional, and engaging instruction.
• Attend all scheduled classes punctually.
• Prepare adequately for each lesson.
• Follow the approved curriculum where applicable.
• Provide learners with guidance, assignments, and feedback.
• Maintain respectful and professional communication with learners.
• Protect the privacy and confidentiality of learners.
• Notify Myteacherconnect promptly if unable to attend a scheduled class.
• Comply with all platform policies and community standards.

4. Course Delivery

Tutors are responsible for:

• Delivering lessons according to the agreed schedule.
• Completing all assigned teaching sessions.
• Recording attendance where applicable.
• Conducting assessments and marking assignments where required.
• Supporting learners until the completion of the training programme.

5. Tutor Earnings and Payment

Revenue Sharing

Tutors earn 80% of the applicable training fees paid by learners for successfully completed training delivered through the Myteacherconnect platform.

The remaining 20% is retained by Myteacherconnect to cover platform development, technology infrastructure, marketing, payment processing, customer support, administration, and operational costs.

Monthly Payments

Tutor earnings are processed and paid once every calendar month using the payment details provided by the Tutor.

Tutors are responsible for ensuring that their payment information remains accurate and up to date.

Payment Approval

To protect both learners and tutors, payments are subject to the following process:

• Tutors are paid monthly for completed training where the learner has submitted a Satisfactory review or selected the Satisfactory button on the platform.
• If a learner does not provide any feedback within seven (7) days after the course or training has ended, and no complaint or dispute has been submitted, the training shall automatically be deemed satisfactorily completed, and the Tutor shall become eligible for payment.
• Where a learner submits an Unsatisfactory review or raises a complaint within the seven-day review period, Myteacherconnect may temporarily withhold payment while investigating the matter.
• During an investigation, both the learner and the Tutor may be asked to provide relevant information or evidence.
• Following its review, Myteacherconnect will determine whether payment should be released, adjusted, or withheld. The platform's decision shall be final.

6. Performance Standards

Tutors are expected to maintain high teaching standards. Repeated issues including, but not limited to:

• Poor teaching quality
• Failure to complete assigned classes
• Frequent lateness
• Repeated learner complaints
• Inappropriate behaviour
• Poor communication
• Failure to comply with platform policies

may result in warnings, suspension, removal from teaching assignments, or permanent termination of the tutor account.

7. Cancellations and Absence

Tutors should provide reasonable notice whenever they are unable to conduct a scheduled class.

Repeated cancellations without valid reasons may negatively affect tutor ratings, future teaching opportunities, and continued use of the platform.

8. Intellectual Property

Tutors retain ownership of educational materials they independently create.

By uploading any materials to Myteacherconnect, Tutors grant Myteacherconnect a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, display, reproduce, and use such materials solely for delivering educational services through the platform.

Tutors warrant that they own or have permission to use any content they upload.

9. Confidentiality

Tutors shall keep confidential all learner information, assessment records, payment information, platform data, and other confidential information obtained through Myteacherconnect.

Confidential information shall not be disclosed except where required by law or expressly authorised by Myteacherconnect.

10. Non-Circumvention

Learners introduced through Myteacherconnect are clients of the platform.

Tutors shall not directly or indirectly encourage, solicit, or persuade learners to receive educational services outside the Myteacherconnect platform without prior written approval.

Violation of this clause may result in immediate suspension or permanent termination.

11. Code of Professional Conduct

Tutors shall not:

• Harass, threaten, or discriminate against learners.
• Use abusive, offensive, or inappropriate language.
• Request unnecessary personal information.
• Engage in fraudulent or deceptive activities.
• Misrepresent qualifications or teaching experience.
• Upload illegal, offensive, or copyrighted material without permission.
• Engage in any conduct that damages the reputation of Myteacherconnect.

12. Suspension and Termination

Myteacherconnect may suspend or terminate a Tutor account at any time for:

• Violation of these Terms.
• Fraudulent conduct.
• Repeated poor learner feedback.
• Misconduct.
• Inactivity.
• Any action considered harmful to the platform, learners, or other users.

13. Limitation of Liability

Myteacherconnect provides a technology platform connecting learners and tutors. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Myteacherconnect shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the Tutor's use of the platform.

14. Amendments

Myteacherconnect may revise these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms become effective immediately upon publication unless otherwise stated. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
